Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("we", "us"), the operator of Cycle Empire — a mobile game where real cycling rides claim territory on a map (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement and can form a binding contract.

2. Your account

You sign in using a third-party provider (Google, Apple or Facebook). You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for activity under your Cycle Empire account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; deleting it removes your profile and associated game data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable use & fair play

Cycle Empire is a competitive game. To keep it fair, you agree not to:

• falsify, spoof or manipulate GPS, sensor or ride data, or submit rides you did not actually complete;
• use bots, emulators, automation or any means to gain territory, XP or ranks you did not earn by riding;
• reverse-engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service or its security (including our anti-cheat systems);
• harass other riders, impersonate anyone, or upload unlawful or infringing content.

We may classify, flag, reverse or reject rides and results that fail our fair play checks, and may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms.

4. Ride safely — important

Your safety is your responsibility. Cycling has inherent risks. Always obey traffic laws and local regulations, ride within your ability, and stay aware of your surroundings. Do not operate your phone or interact with the app in a way that distracts you from the road while riding. Mount your device safely and set up rides before you set off. The Service is a game — not navigation or a safety device — so never rely on it for directions, hazard warnings or medical purposes. You take part in all rides at your own risk.

5. Your rides and content

You keep ownership of the ride data and content you create. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it as needed to operate the Service — for example to render your territory, calculate scores and show leaderboards. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the Cycle Empire name, logo, software, design and game mechanics, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or redistribute it except as permitted by law.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party services, including sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook), maps and other providers. Your use of those features may also be governed by the relevant provider's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Availability & changes

Cycle Empire may be offered as a beta and evolves over time. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features (or the whole Service) at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for interruptions or loss of data resulting from such changes.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Your mandatory consumer rights under EU and Polish law remain unaffected.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (for example intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live. Where permitted, disputes fall under the competent courts of Poland. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
